Each step focuses on efficiently filtering a certain kind of air contaminant. PAPR SYSTEM HOW PAPR’S WORK? PAPRs are positive pressure respirators that are worn loosely to the face. A PAPR protects the respiratory system by drawing in ambient air through a battery-powered ventilator. When air enters the unit, it passes through a number of filter layers, keeping particles out of the air supply. The air is then forced into the user’s breathing zone where they can breathe normally. By blowing positive pressure into the mask, the face seal between the mask and the user prevents contaminated air from entering the breathing zone.
